You have to be careful when buying tickets on the internet, but if you do your homework you can find great ticket deals from reputable sources. I've broken this section down into two categories: tickets from professional brokers (scalpers) and tickets from other regular people.
Buying from Brokers
There are hundreds of small business owners out there who make a living buying and reselling tickets. Are they basically just professional scalpers? Yes. Am I okay with that? Sure. Whether you want them to or not, these guys have the tickets we want to buy, and they're a pretty trustworthy source. Here's the reason: basic game theory. These people need to stay in business to make a living. There's no value for them in selling fake tickets or screwing customers, because then they'd go out of business. It's always better to deal with a real company than just some guy on the street with two extra tickets. Here are all the major brokers you can find online:
- TicketLiquidator
I buy all my tickets from TicketLiquidator when I can't get them from the Panthers directly. The prices are consistently lower than RazorGator and TicketsNow, and their customer service is amazing. They send you driving directions to the stadium, weather, restaurant recommendations, and then offer a survey after the game so you can give them feedback. I've never seen another broker be so responsive to customer input. - RazorGator
RazorGator definitely has the slickest web site, but they also usually have the highest ticket prices. Sometimes they have different inventory, so it's worth taking a look but make sure you comparison shop by price. - TicketsNow
TicketsNow
Buying from Some Other Guy
So here's where it gets tricky. Sometimes you can find really great deals on tickets from some guy who can't make it to the game and just wants to make some of his money back on the tickets he bought. But the thing is, fraud is rampant and there are really no guarantees when you're buying in a fan marketplace setting. Still, if you're willing to take the risk to find the best deal, here are all the places you can find ticket listings online:
- Craigslist
There are three tiers of seating at Bank of America Stadium, and within those are smaller sections of seats that range in viewing quality. The great thing about the Panthers' home is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. There are almost no obstructed views, and if you're not close enough to really see the action, there are televisions everywhere so you don't miss a beat. - E-Bay
