Panthers having early success with rookie contracts (AP) - The Carolina Panthers have agreed to contract terms with five of their eight draft picks. The team reached agreement with linebacker James Anderson of Virginia Tech and offensive lineman Rashad Butler from Miami, Fla., both third-round selections. The Panthers also announced the signing of fifth-round draft pick Jeff King, a tight end from Virginia Tech. [Panthers News]
